Prayer Partner Commitment Cards
are part of a new brochure that explains what it means to be a Prayer Partner to a child in El Salvador. The brochure will be available at a table in the narthex each Sunday in November and it explains that becoming a Prayer Partner for a child is a powerful way to build a personal connection with and support a child as he/she grows and develops.

Prayer and communication are the keys to the partnership and we asking our Prayer Sponsors to commit to pray for their child on a regular basis, communicate at least once a year with their child (language is a barrier but simple messages can be translated and sending a picture of yourself or your family is a good start) and consider sending a gift that will fit in a gallon-size zipper-bag for your child each year.

We will have a list of suggested gift items for ages and sexes or provide the option for you to give $10 and we will purchase the gift and give it along with your card or letter and picture. Having your picture helps the child remember to pray for you also, and we believe that these children work a little harder in school and that their parents provide a little more support for them as well, knowing they have a friend here who supports believes in them.

So if you currently have a prayer child or would like to consider getting one, please stop by and pick up a brochure in the Narthex during November. Any prayer sponsor who has not signed a commitment card by December 1 will receive a call asking if they wish to commit to continue their sponsorship or have someone else sponsor the child.

See's Candy will also be sold at our table in the narthex during November. All orders must be made and paid for by November 28th and will be available on Sunday Dec. 12 at church. Prices are the same as in the stores and we keep about 25% of the sales to support our mission to El Salvador. These are tasty treats or Christmas gifts and you won't have to wait in line like at the mall!

Please keep Dr. Tim Friederichs and the November delegation in your prayers while they are in El Salvador from November 18-27. Tim will be working in the clinic a few days and will be able to attend the graduation of his long time prayer child, Juan Santos Molina.
